Lose My Salvation? What are you talking about?!?!
Ok all, this is the first topic of discussion at our little island of misfits blog site as requested by Jen :-). Tonight we are discussing whether or not you can lose your salvation once you've accepted Jesus Christ as your savior. I'll take notes tonight and post the discussion so Jen can add in her two cents as well.

So, the conversation never really got into the permanence of salvation. Instead, we had an amazing time conversing openly about church leadership and the direction of Providence Community, the American church at large, as well as ourselves. We discussed what exactly Sunday mornings are for, what exactly a leader is, and what standard those leaders should be held to. It was a great time, and I feel like we have specific direction for the next two weeks. I'll post more information later this evening or tomorrow. I just didn't want to not post something at all today.
ReplyDeleteI think we definitely had a great discussion, and I hope that we have the cojones to speak up when it comes time to address some of the relevant information at the Prov info thing that deals with people not sticking around. I know that I dropped some critique in the offering plate yesterday...talking about how we need to have a safe environment to struggle in and how that isn't currently the case. We shall see what happens...
